Altered State is the thirteenth episode in Manhunt 2, taking place at the filming set for the 5 Past High Noon TV show at the TV-MK Studios.
Plot Summary
The TV set for 5 Past High Noon inside the TV-MK Studios gives Daniel and Leo another clue on where to find Dr. Laura Whyte.
Episode
Farm
Daniel and Leo are in the back of the TV-MK Studios, specifically at the fully recreated ranch of 5 Past High Noon as part of the TV show's film set.
Several Bloodhounds are patrolling the entirety of the ranch looking for Daniel and Leo, some of which are carrying Crossbows, which can be used to perform a silent, long-range kill.
In order to get past the first area, Daniel must get access to the sewer pipe next to the fence of the film set, which can only be opened using a Crowbar. The item is found at the open barn, next to the director's chair.
After using the Crowbar to open the hatch on the sewer pipe, Daniel is led to a dirt track patrolled by an armed Bloodhound. After eliminating him, Daniel makes his way to the barn.
Barn
Arriving at the barn, patrolled by Bloodhounds, Daniel sees a haybale stack hanging by a rope. Shooting the rope, the haybale stack falls and can be used to reach an opening and get access to the barn.
More Bloodhounds are found inside the barn. Daniel must get past the hunters and reach the upper floor, leading him to the rear side of the barn and another area of the film set.
House
The Bloodhounds notice Daniel coming from the back of the barn and warn the others to fall back to the house.
The house is heavily guarded by Bloodhounds armed with Crossbows on the windows. Daniel must break into the house and get access to the next area of the film set from a breakable-glass window.
Dr. Whyte
Eventually, after fighting his way through a group of Bloodhounds, Daniel encounters Dr. Whyte in another barn, guarded by more Bloodhounds. Whyte's hired bounty hunters manages to block Daniel's way by closing the gate leading to the barn.
With Daniel trapped in a section of the film set, the Bloodhound at the barn sends more goons to hunt down Daniel in the small area. Daniel must use the shadows and wooden cabins to his advantage.
After eliminating all bounty hunters in the set, Daniel is free to go to the barn and lift the door using the handle.
While walking towards the windmill, Dr. Whyte sneaks behind Daniel and incapacitates him with a syringe. Soon after, Daniel wakes up in a therapy session room at an Project facility. With Leo's personality temporarily inactive, Daniel is unable to communicate with him.

- Originally the beta plot of the episode involved Daniel having to save Leo who was captured by Dr. Whyte.
- This beta plot is present in Prototype Version 0.01.
- Still in 0.01, after the player completes the episode he is taken to Personality Clash instead of Domestic Disturbance.
- This is the only episode of the game in which the player continues with a weapon acquired in the previous episode, in this case being the assault rifle.
- Inside the barn, the lamps can be broken. If they are broken they will create a small fire.
